- Half true. If I could choose I wouldn't run MS Word but most people do and in order
- to be compatible according to documents I write some documents in MS Word.
- Final Writer to the Amiga is perhaps not as good as MS Word but it is 1/10 in size and have
- most of the important features you would like in a word processor. It runs very fine even on
- a quite slow Amiga. Final Writer 4.0 is recently out.

- That doesn't solve the problem. Exchange "Floppy disk" to "Zip Disk" or anything similar
- and the problem is still there. The human mind is capable of doing several things at the same
- time and a *real* computer should be able to give this possibility to the user. It's that simple.

- Yes, true. I admit that PC's can be used as cheap game consoles.
-
- >b) Everybody assumes that 'computer' means 'IBM compatible'.
- Yes, true. And there's still lot of people out there thinking that a program may
- run on any computer without emulation (They do not know what that is...), PC owners mostly
- wanting to copy Amiga games...
-
- >c) They cost far less than the Amiga or Mac.
- Yes, Amiga isn't cheap, noone ever said. At least not me.
- But keep in mind that most people bying PC's find out that the system they have bought
- is far away from complete. Too small amount of memory, too small amount of HD.
- And if you wan't a real OS you'll have to buy that. (Real OS<>W95, Real OS<>W3.xx, NT is ok).
- In 95% of the cases, a better product costs more. Perhaps not linear to what you get but more anyway.
- In quite few cases a worse product costs more, in these cases the product often disappears.
- Why not leave the win/loss question to the market.
-
- If you're counting the number of sold machines you're probably right that PC has won, but
- how about all old PC's that are unusable just after some years?

- Yes, you can buy many different programs for the Amiga. There are however few good calculus programs
- wich have all the features that MS Exel has for an example.
-
- How much programs do one need? How many word processors? How many games do one need?
- How many spread sheet programs do one need?
